  • Vial Amount- the total peptide powder in your vial, printed on the label (e.g. “100mg”, “5mg”). Set the unit to match the label.
  • BAC Water - how much bacteriostatic water you mix in, in mL. More water means the same dose but a bigger draw.
  • Dose Amount - how much you want per injection. Watch the unit: 1mg = 1000mcg. A “1mg” dose is 1 with mg selected, or 1000 with mcg selected.
  • Units - the numbered marks on your insulin syringe barrel. The calculator tells you which mark to pull the plunger to. Units are not the same as mg or mL.

Dos and Don'ts

Do

  • Always reconstitute with bacteriostatic water (BAC water) for shelf life up to 30 days refrigerated.
  • Store reconstituted peptides refrigerated at 2-8°C and away from direct light.
  • Swirl the vial gently to mix - never shake.
  • Use a new needle for each injection and rotate injection sites.
  • Note the reconstitution date on the vial.

Don't

  • Use tap water, saline, or sterile water - they reduce shelf life significantly.
  • Use if the solution appears cloudy, discoloured, or has visible particles.
  • Leave reconstituted peptides at room temperature for extended periods.
  • Reuse needles or syringes.
  • Exceed recommended doses - more is not always better in peptide research.
